Merzouga Desert ⇢ Nomad Family⇢ Khamlia Village

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the lovely sunrise in the hotel. Free time for breakfast. Then we dedicate the day to exploring the Merzouga region. The area contains numerous magnificent sights, including dunes, wild lakes, mines, fossil locations, and fabulous oases. Which are perfect locations for a variety of outdoor sports.

We begin our excursion in Merzouga by driving off-road to see an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we visit the nomad family who lives in a woven tent. Drink Berber tea and learn about their way of life. Our next stop is Khamlia village, where you may enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. Its residents are from sub-Saharan African nations such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. Following that, we take a stroll around the palm tree grove. Then drive a few kilometers to visit the wild lake of Merzouga, commonly known as Flamingo Lake.

In the afternoon, you swap on camels and travel the sandy desert, stopping at the top of a high dune to see the sunset before continuing to the luxury camp. You can listen to Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire under the huge open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

Merzouga desert ⇢ Azrou ⇢ Fes

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the lovely sunrise in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you ride camels back to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. Then we leave the desert to explore Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains an important trading center in the region, with a thriving souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After a tour around Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud and visit one of the fossilized marble workshops.

Following that, we travel down the Ziz River, stopping for a panoramic vista of the Ziz Valley. Then we drive through the cedar forest and Ifrane to get to Fes. Finally, we will drop you off at the airport or your hotel.
