Hotel ⇢ Camel Trekking ⇢ Desert Camp

After arriving at the meeting point, you will join us at the hotel for a cup of mint tea before embarking on a camel trek into the desert to spend the night in a furnished camp with traditional Berber drum music in the midst of the desert. When we get at the camp, we head to the high dunes to watch the sunset and take photos. It will be a nice night after dinner if the sky is clear and starry.

Desert Camp ⇢ Nomad Family ⇢ Gnawa Music ⇢Desert Camp

After breakfast at your campsite, we will depart for Merzouga to visit various interesting places near the Erg Chebbi dunes. We will have the opportunity to visit a nomadic Berber family who still lives in their tent in the black desert, share a drink of mint tea, and learn about desert life.

Later, we will visit the M’ifis mines; in addition to tourism, the Merzouga desert is known for minerals and fossils.

During our Merzouga desert 4×4 tour, we will visit Khamlia village to hear Gnawa music from the dark-skinned people who were taken to Morocco as immigrants and worked as slaves over a century ago. We’ll stop at many scenic sites to enjoy the landscape and take photos. We’ll head back to camp after lunch at a local eatery.

Desert Camp⇢ Camel Trekking⇢Hotel

Wake up! In the early morning, we saw the spectacular sunrise and the solitude of the Sahara desert near our high-dune tent. After sunrise, have breakfast at our restaurant with a panoramic view. After breakfast, ride camels back through the erg Chebbi dunes to the meeting location.
